Calvin Chinthaka (b. 16 February 1982) is a British–Sri Lankan fashion photographer, filmmaker, and creative director based in London. Known for fusing traditional photography with artificial intelligence, Calvin creates cinematic and editorial narratives that challenge the boundaries between technology and human storytelling.

He holds both a BA (Hons) and MA in Fashion Photography from the University of the Arts London and the London College of Fashion, having been selected from over 2,500 applicants for postgraduate study. His distinctive style blends cultural heritage, fashion, and future-focused aesthetics.

Calvin is the founder of Brand Human, a creative media agency specialising in visual storytelling, digital branding, and augmented reality. He also founded the multidisciplinary platform Hitched and Captured and serves as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for LOVI Ceylon, a contemporary Sri Lankan fashion label.

His debut fashion film, Osariya, won Best Cinematography at the London Fashion Film Festival and was screened at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival and Asia South East Short Film Festival. He has worked with over 300 brands globally, including SriLankan Airlines, Naked Wolfe, and The Great Frog, and photographed British fashion legends Dame Zandra Rhodes and Sir Paul Smith.

A regular guest lecturer at UAL and LCF, Calvin is also a member of the NVIDIA Developer Program, exploring generative AI in contemporary visual practice. Notable projects include Osariya, Sri Lankan Dress in a Contemporary Diasporic Lens, and Capturing Carla.
